Privacy policy

The builder and the ATS checker run entirely as code in your browser. When you type into the builder, the draft is written to your browser’s local storage — a private area on your own device — under the key resumewind.resume.v1. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

The same is true of the PDF. It is generated on your machine and saved straight to your downloads folder. No copy passes through a server, which means we cannot read, recover or delete your resume for you — and neither can anyone who compromises us.

Text you paste into the ATS checker is analysed in memory and is not stored at all. It disappears when you close the tab.

To remove your draft, use Erase draft in the builder, or clear site data for this domain in your browser settings.

We do not ask for your name, email address or any account details, because there is nothing to sign up for.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested — IP address, user agent, the page requested and the time. These are used to keep the site running and to detect abuse, and are retained by the provider on their own schedule.

We use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to see which pages are read and which are not. This tells us what to write next. We do not build profiles of individual visitors and we do not sell any data.

This site is funded by advertising rather than by charging you to download your own file. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may serve ads on this site.

Advertising never appears inside the editor form or next to the download button. That is partly a policy requirement and mostly because ads placed where you are about to click are a hostile design.

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to export or erase. If you are in the EEA, the UK, or a jurisdiction with comparable rules and you believe we hold data about you, write to us and we will respond within 30 days.

This site is intended for people old enough to be looking for work and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
